"O for a muse of fire, that would ascend the brightest heaven of invention"- Willam Shakespeare.
These people are some of my very favorite people. They are unafraid to ask for the creative. Right before the pandemic hit, Dahmia's brother Curran asked me to come up with a senior session that resembled his favorite Director, Wes Anderson. So as I do-- I joked around with him in conversation, and his 17 year humor said... Welp, how about a garbage bin.
Don't tempt me bro.
SOOOOOO--- I did.
Now, his sister on the otherhand, was not crazy about matching that garbage session, however she was in fact, in love with how comfortable I made her feel. I had been photographing her since she was 15 and she was not super thrilled about trying to look for a photographer with the creative side plus someone who might not make her feel confident.
So-- they flew me out to Sarasota!
Her dreams were botanical, mixed vintage ending in a traditional beach scene. I got to help plan the outfits, and locations (from afar) but man, we nailed it.
We went for the Selby Gardens, and their old town square--- then arrived at some gorgeous mermaid rocks on Siesta Key Beach.
