It is overwhelming to plan a wedding. Especially, when you have been waiting for it for 8 years. 

Fate has a funny way of showing up right when you need it to. 2 years ago, my husband and I were house hunting and chose to go with a realtor in Iowa City, but had amazing talents at putting our search ahead of her own life... her life was, selling houses. Originally from Kalona Realty, Jessica Yoder pepped and prettied right into our lives, but one day, threw us into a poopy house that looked like a meth dealer lived in it- and the other thing was SHE PUTS US WITH HER ASSISTANT!.... 
Bam. 
Fate. 
It was Sarah Owings. 
We had met over 10 years previous! At The University of Iowa. She arrived one evening at me and my posses basement hangout with our friend Eric. She was pretty, she was kinda loud. AND she seemed like he wasn't that into her and more into himself. We all rolled our eyes at the fated to fail sophomore year fling and figured it would end before the year ended. 
NOPE. 
Fast Forward 8 years.... 
Here we were. In her living room planning their wedding. 

An elegant vintage affair in the heart of the Pentecrest Old Capitol Mall. Her guests stayed at the gorgeous adjoining Iowa Hotel by the IMU while the whole ceremony poured into the breathtaking Historical Law Senate Chamber and finished the night in the elegant IMU Ballroom. 
First stop, Thompson & Co. for hair and makeup while the boys, be boys in the IMU Hotel rooms.
